For 2026, I'll be attempting the 3x10k challenge, that is:
- 1 Year
- 10,000 Push Ups
- 10,000 Sit Ups
- 10,000 Squats
This averages to around 28 reps of each exercise every day. Sounds easy right?
Push ups are probably my strongest exercise, provided I can eke up the will power to do the reps everyday, I'm not expecting too many issues here, and should hopefully be able to complete the 10k reps and many more.
Sits ups come next, these also shouldn't be too much of an issue, but they do take me a bit more effort, and time to get through the reps.
Push ups and Sit ups, I'm planning on completing 10 reps in 5 sets on weekday mornings. That should add 250 reps of each exercise every week, enough to complete the full 10k and have weekends free. But it's more likely that I'll do more than 50 sit ups, and hope on most days double the required pushups.
Squats are going to the biggest challenge, not because they're hard, but due to a history of having 'rusty' tendon issues in my knees, basically they're not as stretchy as they should be. So this challenge might be over if my knees can't keep up, in which case I'll abandon the squats challenge. This is not supposed to be a wreck my knees challenge, but hopefully by the end, I'll be stronger and more flexible.
